Natural killer（NK）cells are closely related to Tcells and neoplasms derived from these are therefore considered within thesame group. The World Health Organisation （WHO）classification ofhaemopoietic malignancies has divided this group of disorders into those withpredominantly leukaemic （disseminated）， nodal, extra-nodal or cutaneouspresentation （Harris et al, 1999, Swerdlow et al, 2008） （Table 1）。 Within the WHOclassification these malignancies are differentiated on the basis not only ofclinical features but also of morphology, immunophenotype and genetics.
